  7. The BT-542B is a 16-bit bus master PC/AT SCSI host adapter for multitasking,
  8. multi-user operating system environments based on the BusLogic proprietary Bus
  9. Master ASIC.  Scatter/gather data transfers of more than 8000 data segments
  10. can be performed.  Data is transferred over the PC/AT bus at up to 10 MB per
  11. second.  Synchronous or asynchronous data transfers occur on the SCSI bus at
  12. 5-10 MB per second.  A 16-bit microprocessor reduces host CPU overhead.  Both
  13. internal and external 50-pin SCSI connectors are provided on the board.  An
  14. onboard floppy controller chip supports any combination of up to two 3.5-inch
  15. or 5.25-inch floppy drives.
